Managing Director
Nikki has run her beauty business for over 30 years, with previous experience working in one of the top health spa's prior to that.
Nikki is also a qualified lecturer and assessor and spent time in the past teaching beauty therapy in a further education college.
Her commitment now is to offering a high and professional standard at Essential through on going advanced training for the Essential team.

Salon Manager
I have worked at essential for the last 16 years. I started with Nikki when I was on my school work experience. I knew from that one week that this was the salon I wanted to be part of. From then on I have built up my knowledge from both in-house training with Nikki and the other therapists, and have attended many training courses. Although I have recently altered my working hours to part-time due to family commitments, I still continue to participate in the full training programmes. The salon is a lovely place to work and the Essential team are great
SARA
Senior Therapist
I joined Nikki as her first junior therapist in 1996, she provided me with vital work experience during my college years.
In 1997 I qualified in Level 3 City and Guilds and joined Nikki in her new salon and became a full-time employee, I trained alongside her on Dermalogica classes and she also passed on her vast amount of experience, she was my mentor during the early years of working together.
The growth of the business has allowed me to learn and train in new advanced treatments and specialising in VPL, Lava Shell massage, LVL lashes, Lycon waxing and our product ranges Environ and earning an Expert status in Dermalogica.
I worked as Salon Manager for a time before starting my family and I now work part-time in the salon and I feel lucky I can still be part of Essential Beauty while being able to train and develop myself even further.
For me Essential Beauty has been a huge part of my life and to have seen the progression has been amazing. Nikki is not only the salon owner but I regard her as a close friend and I am proud to be part of this journey.
CHARLOTTE
Junior Therapist
Charlotte is our newest member to join the Essential team and we are so excited to welcome her. She is our massage therapist and will soon be offering manicures, pedicures, tinting and waxing, these treatments are available at a reduced price as Charlotte IS STILL A JUNIOR THERAPIST.
Charlotte gives the most amazingly relaxing massage, highly recommend an hour of relaxation .

Receptionist
Essential Beauty is situated in the small market town of Kirkbymoorside, on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors. I have worked on reception for 12 years and it is my greatest pleasure to be part of such a friendly, vibrant salon. Visitors to the town are amazed at the range of treatments offered in such a beautiful premises in a relatively rural area. The range of salon services is expanding and changing all of the time. The emphasis is on providing relaxing experiences so the clients feel taken care of from the moment they set foot into the salon. I believe that working in this type of environment is a reflective pleasure to all involved.
